David Provenzani is an Italian Senior Architect, born in Bologna in 1966, and graduated from the Unversity of Florence (Italy) in 1992. Mr. Provenzani is the founder of the Italian brand ARCHITALY with its main office in Dubai (UAE). ARCHITALY has a long track of designs developed in Europe and Middle East, over 250 projects mainly focused to green design and green energy applications.
Mr. Provenzani is also the founder of Dubai Solar Schools. The main aim of the initiative is to involve the Dubai education sector in the DEWA ‘Shams Dubai’ regulation – with 100 schools and universities (comprising 200,000 students) to be targeted.
Mr. Ridah Sabouni is the Managing Director in the MENA region for the clean energy consultancy, Energetics Incorporated. Mr. Sabouni led the establishment of Energetics’ Dubai office in late 2015 and is responsible for Energetics projects across the region.
Prior to relocating to Dubai, Mr. Sabouni spent seven years at the company headquarters in the Washington DC area. At Energetics, Mr. Sabouni helped support the development of a variety of clean energy technologies, programmes, and energy efficiency best practices.
In the United States, he provided strategy, project management and technical analysis consulting support to a number of U.S. government clients, including the U.S. Department of Energy Advanced Manufacturing Office, Building Technologies Office, and Office of Electricity. More recently in the MENA region, Mr. Sabouni has led projects working with clients in Oman, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.
A member of the Association of Energy Engineers, the Project Management Institute, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the Clean Energy Business Council, and the American Business Council in Dubai, Mr. Sabouni has also held volunteer leadership positions with Engineers without Borders, Habitat for Humanity, the Network of Arab-American Professionals, and Tau Beta Pi.
Mr. Sabouni is an engineer by training, and holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Davis and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is also certified as a Project Management Professional, Certified Energy Manager, and a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional.
Eng. Sara Oda is a Project Engineer with Enerwhere, a Dubai-based solar company providing innovative solar power solutions for the construction, oil and gas, mining, logistics and manufacturing sectors across the Middle East & Africa.
Sara specialises in on-grid power plant deployment and project management. She is responsible for designing technical documents, obtaining regulatory permits, design approvals, and contributes to project implementation.
Sara holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sustainable and Renewable Energy Engineering (SREE) from the University of Sharjah where she was selected for the IAESTE exchange program at BTU Cottbus, Germany. During her third year, she was elected as a Member of the Board and Vice President of the SREE Club where she led environmental awareness campaigns
