CEBC SCHOOLS FIELD TRIP TO THE SUSTAINABLE CITY
18 APRIL 2018
The CEBC Schools Programme, with the support of Diamond Developers, is proud to announce its Ambassador Field Trip to The Sustainable City!
The Sustainable City is the region’s first fully-integrated sustainable community. The Sustainable City places a priority on nature, green spaces, health, education and recreational activities, with an emphasis on nurturing a sustainable lifestyle that is allied to a strong sense of community. It spreads over five million square feet, and is located in Dubai Land on the Al Qudra Road.
AGENDA FOR THE DAY
8.45AM pick up at Al Wasl Sports Club
9.30AM Arrival at The Sustainable City and Introduction
At this point, the group will be split in two, with half the students spending time in the Eco-dome classroom participating in a hands-on workshop related to sustainable living, and the other half taking a tour of the Sustainable City.
10.45AM – Groups will meet for joint lunch/snacks (food not provided, students to bring own)
11.00AM – Groups will split again for the second session, swapping over.
12.45PM – Depart The Sustainable City
1.20PM – Approximate arrival back to Al Wasl Sports Club.
WHAT IS THE COST?
There is no cost to students for this field trip. We can take two student Ambassadors, aged 13 and above, from each school registered in the CEBC Schools Programme. You are welcome to give the names of more than two students, but please indicate your first preference for attendance, as other students will be added to a cancellation waitlist.
Teachers are also welcome to accompany students.
We have room for approximately 50 students on the field trip.
HOW DO WE GET THERE?
Students will be able to catch a bus to the Sustainable City from Al Wasl Sports Club on the day. Please note that you may also make your own way to the Sustainable City if it is easier. When you register, you will be asked whether you require bus transport or not.
WHAT DO WE NEED TO BRING?
Students may like to bring a pen and paper to make notes, or a phone to take photographs. Students are welcome to bring their own lunch and water – food is not provided. Students are also advised to bring a hat or apply sunscreen prior to the visit if sun exposure is a concern.
HOW DO I REGISTER?
Please note that we have a limited number of places – please only register if you intend to take part on the day. Places will be allocated on a first in, first served basis, with two places initially available to each school.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you have to cancel your attendance, so other students can go.
You must be a member of the CEBC Schools programme to register students. To join, please visit the CEBC Schools
Please send this form to email@example.com
. Note that it allows you to provide permission slips for up to four students. However, the third and forth students will be waitlisted, subject to room. You will also need to indicate how many students require bus transport, as we have limited space. A teacher may accompany the students.
Remember, Ambassadors must be 13 or older to attend.
We look forward to visiting The Sustainable City with you!
